ABILENE, Texas (AP) ? A Texas woman who found an egg the size of a baseball in her chicken coop cracked it open to find another full egg inside.

Cookie Smith of Abilene found earlier this week what she calls the "mutant super egg" that was an inch longer and triple the weight of a regular hen's egg. She initially took pictures of the egg and showed photos to her co-workers at an Abilene hospital.

She cracked it open only after an Abilene Reporter-News (http://bit.ly/KgoXCA ) photographer accompanied her home. Inside was a large yolk ? and another intact normal-sized egg.

Smith says she knows the eggs may have been OK to eat, but she's opting to pass.

My Sit-Down with Mover Smitty | Ay Mama!

The Imagination Movers are coming back to Chicago (Waukegan to be exact) on Saturday, October 20^th for their 2012 Rock-O-Matic Tour.? My family has experienced both of their Chicago shows (in 2009 and 2011) and they were amazing.??????????

As many of you know from my past articles, ?I Like My Kids' TV Show" and ?Moved By The Movers?, Cooper and Cole are big fans of the Imagination Movers.? And I must confess that I have become a fan as well.

Here is a quick background on the band??

The Imagination Movers are four guys who saw a need for kid?s entertainment.? They started playing at backyard parties ten years ago, and now play hundreds of sold out shows across North America.?? They also have a TV show on Disney Junior and have written hundreds of songs featured on multiple CDs.?

I am also very impressed with the resilience of this local New Orleans band.? Three of Movers lost their homes during Hurricane Katrina, and the last one was a firefighter who went missing during a Katrina rescue effort. They all rebuilt their lives and stayed focused on their collective dream...to create rock music that both parents and children could enjoy together.??

So when I got the chance to sit down with one of the Movers for this interview, I jumped at the chance.? So here is my sit-down with Imagination Mover Smitty.

Lisa:??So how is the tour going?

Smitty:? The tour is a lot of fun.? It?s great to meet our fans who have supported us over the years.? It is a different concept than our past tours.? We are playing many of the songs from our new CD/DVD Rock-O-Matic and some of the favorites from past CDs.? There is a great mix for everyone?our loyal longtime fansAND families who are coming to see us for the first time.? Plus, we have a secret guest that will appeal to the kids.? He is a 7ft. robot that Mover Dave made.? The kids love it!

Lisa:? That sounds very cool.? Coop and Cole will love it.? Speaking of love, we all think the new Rock-O-Matic CD is great.? It?s interesting, the songs seemed to have matured compared to you previous CDs like ?In A Big Warehouse? and ?Juice Box Heroes?.? Is that on purpose??

Smitty:? No.? Our process for writing songs is very organic.? At any moment, if an idea or melody hits one of us, the process starts.? Previously when we were taping the TV show, we actually got song writing homework so to speak.? If we were doing an episode about a certain topic like say pirates, we would need to write a song about that to fit into the episode.? Now we can get back to writing songs like we did when we first started?just when it hits us.? The other thing is that most of the other guys? kids are growing up so what we are writing about is naturally aligning to where we are in our lives right now.? But it?s interesting; we have written so many songs over the years that some of them are just coming around.? Like the song Little Red Wagon; that?s a song we wrote in 2004, but it is now on our new 2012 Rock-O-Matic CD.? Or the song Rain Rain.? That is a song Mover Scott wrote at an outdoor concert we were doing during a rain storm.? It was pouring out and he just started singing that song.? It?s cool.? Ideas for songs just come.? That?s the fun part.

Lisa:??What do you prefer touring or the taping the TV show????

Smitty:??They both have their benefits and challenges.? When we were taping the TV show, it was great to be home.? Also, being able to work with a local New Orleans crew and keep jobs in our city was important to all of us.? However, the days were long working on the TV show.? 14-16 hour days were the norm and we had to do a lot during a typical day from writing songs, to creating show ideas to the on-camera work, but the energy on set was great. It was a tremendous experience and offered us some amazing creative freedom?it was a true gift.? Being on the road touring can be hard since we are away from home.? However, getting the chance to play in front of a live audience is great.? Talk about energy.? And getting the chance to meet the kids and watch them sing and dance with us is awesome.?

Lisa:? You guys have great chemistry.? I know you are all friends, but what makes it work?

Smitty:? We are all friends first and foremost and we have history together like Scott and I went to high school together.? We truly like to be around each other.??? It helps that we are older and more settled in our lives.? We love what we do and the fact that four friends get to do this amazing work is very cool.? We will not let anything get to us.?

Lisa:? Any funny stories to share from this tour????

Smitty:? Not really.? The last tour bus driver we had said we were boring.? Either we are watching a movie, reading, sleeping or catching up with our families.? I guess one thing happened recently that was pretty funny.? One of our tech guys got locked in the bathroom right before a show, and we needed him to do the show.? No one from the venue could get him out so we had to call the fire department to get the door open.? We had to explain to the crowd why we could not start the show on time.?

Lisa:? What is a perfect day for Smitty?

Smitty:??A perfect day for Smitty?hmm.? I would get up early and take the boat out to go fishing.? Then I would come home, have lunch and maybe take a short nap.? Then I would take my dogs for a walk at the local neighborhood park.? I would finish the day with a cookout at home with friends.?

Lisa:? What is your favorite Movers song??

Smitty:? I really do like so many of our songs for so many different reasons.? If I had to narrow it down, I like ?Sunrise Sunset? and ?Rain Rain.? Of course, I like the ?Fire Truck? song and the song ?Dear Old Dad? holds special place to all of us.?

Lisa:? How about your favorite TV episode??

Smitty:? That?s easy?the pirate episode.??????

Lisa:? Thank you for your time.? What is one last thing you want people to know about the Imagination Movers??

Smitty:? We are four friends who are real guys from New Orleans and when we play our songs, we?re actually playing it.? We are playing real drums; real guitars and we love what we do.? Our show is for everyone and we are so grateful to the families who come to see us play.? We want the audience to have as good of time as we are and know that we are playing from the heart.?

I really want to thank Smitty for his time.? He spoke to me for about 45 minutes and was incredibly patient with my list of questions.? I learned that Smitty is still active in his firefighter career.? He actually utilizes his vacation time and trade shifts with others in the station to make time for the Imagination Movers.? I think that is very cool.??I also learned that Smitty recently shaved his head for the St. Baldrick?s Foundation, which is an organization that raises money to support finding a cure for children?s cancer.

How to Tell a Commitment Oriented Guy From a Player

At first blush, they both look the same ? a guy who has the potential to be a loyal boyfriend or husband and a guy who has the potential to extract sex and run for the hills.

They both pick up the phone, ask you out to dinner or a movie and they both claim to want to be in a relationship.

But a man?s desire to be a boyfriend and his ability to actually make a commitment are two different things. If the rule in consumerism is ?buyer beware,? then the rule in the dating world is ?babes beware.?

So where do you start? It?s the oldest dilemma in human history. How does a woman tell if she?s risking her bloodstream and her heart on a Casanova? The good news is that there are clear signs that he?s commitment oriented.

Does He Sacrifice For You?

The biggest one goes back to ancient history and it relates to sacrifice. If a man sacrifices his time, his money and his talents to make your life better, then he?s probably trying to send you a message that he?s in it for the long haul.

He thinks of you as an investment not a short-term opportunity. Traditional courtship rituals were designed to showcase that sacrifice ? elegant dinners, driving you in flashy cars, fine wine and expensive flowers etc.

But more and more, couples meet at parties, share checks from the beginning, and have sex way too soon. As traditional courting rituals are being abandoned, the dating market is packed with a blurry cast of players and good guys. So, it?s downright confusing for women.

Old forms of courtship may not seem hip today, but they were certainly valuable because they gave women necessary information.

In the old courting traditions, if a guy sacrificed a lot of time, energy, and money, he was probably looking for a long-term relationship.

Sadly, most women today don?t wait this long to see a man?s intentions. In our post-modern culture the women?s newfound economic freedom has caused many people to reject the old traditions and hop in the sack with no information. Think about it.

Some women exchange body fluids with a guy they wouldn?t leave to water their plants in they were out of town.

In my new book The 30-Day Love Detox (Rodale, Feb 2013,) I explain how to set up some new rituals. It?s a way to create some space for men to display their intentions.

Modern commitment oriented men may not signal their intentions with traditional sacrifices like expensive flowers and candle-lit restaurants, but they will find new ways to tell you that you are important.

A potential commitment oriented guy may respond to you kindly ? and publicly ? when you place a comment on his Facebook wall, or he might call you when he?d prefer to text.

He might take the time to cab with you to an event rather than have you meet him there. He might pick up his cell phone when he?s with other people and call you by name, rather than simply say ?hey.?

Signs that He?s Commitment Oriented

But there are also some statistics to help you tell the good guys from the bad boys, the cads from the dads. Research shows us that if a man has more than six of these traits, there?s a good chance he?s commitment oriented.

1. His parents are still married.

If his parents have not divorced, loyalty is the mental model he carries in his mind. He probably learned from witnessing the ups and downs of their relationship that long- term monogamy takes, work, commitment and has some fabulous rewards.

2. He?s Over the Age of 26

The average age of first marriage for a man is age twenty-seven. If he?s younger than that, not only is he probably not ready, you and he will have a higher chance of breaking up. Marriages that happen before the age of twenty-three have very high divorce rates.

3. His Friends are Getting Married

This is a good sign. Just as divorce is contagious in peer groups and among families, so is marriage. If his peer group is getting married, you can be sure he?s thinking about the idea of commitment too.

4. He is College Educated

College educated men are more likely to get married and to cheat less. Monogamy is an intellectual decision and highly intelligent men tend to grow the ?muscles of monogamy.?

5. He is Religious

All religions teach important lessons about monogamy and healthy families. If he was raised in a religion, there?s a good chance he heard some of those messages and believes them.

6. He lives in a ?so called? Red State

Conservative political values make people more likely to marry. Funnily enough, conservatives have more divorces but liberals marry later in life, so they have less time to get married so often.

7. He has a Secure Job

A financial state-of-readiness is very important to many men. They play around and don?t get romantically serious until they feel they have the means to win their version of a high status woman. If he?s still in the early stages of career building or figuring out what he wants to do, he may not be ready to commit.

8. He has had at least one long-term girlfriend (more than a year)

Men who have a secure attachment style and who can be monogamous also tend to have fewer ex-girlfriends and lengthy commitments to each. If he hasn?t been in many relationships and he seems to have a long stream of women he calls ?ex?s,? be leery.

9. He has a good relationship with his mother (but not too close)

Men with mothers who were abusive or neglectful often have a hard time trusting women in their adult romantic life. They may carry some residual anger that is hard to overcome and it makes commitment unlikely.

On the other hand, men who are a little too close with Mom ? the adult males who still involve their mothers in every aspect of their lives ? have a hard time breaking away from this kind of emotional fusion.

Sex may be the only aspect of a relationship they can?t get from Mom, so their relationships with women are superficial and highly sexual.

10. He Refers to you as his Girlfriend Rather than ?The girl I?m dating right now.?

Pay attention to his language. The tiny references to level of commitment and time frame are big clues to his attention. In fact, be wary of a man who refers to his ex-girlfriends as women I ?dated.? Plenty of men think ?dating? is a stand-alone sport rather than a stepping stone to a relationship.

The HCR is a small form-factor and highly ruggedized tactical radio that delivers high bandwidth throughput over long distances using point-to-point microwave wireless technology. The radio's dramatic increase in bandwidth capability over previous generation radios is expected to accelerate the adoption of handheld devices and next-generation applications at the tactical edge, a key trend within many militaries around the world. The new radio's much smaller form factor requires fewer assets to deploy and less logistical support than previous generation HCLOS radios, providing users with secure voice, data, video and sensor backhaul communications in difficult,? hard to reach, operating environments.

The HCR incorporates and improves on the best features of Ultra's battle-proven AN/GRC-245 and AN/GRC-512 radios to form a new platform that can perform multiple roles.? The single box mast mount radio supports the roles of a High-Capacity Line-of-Sight (HCLOS) radio relay, including spectrum efficiency and long range waveforms, as well as a true full-band Electronic Counter Counter Measure (ECCM) radio relay. Therefore, it effectively provides two radio types in a single common platform, enabling each relay vehicle to quickly mix and match each mode to suit battlefield conditions.? As a Software-Defined Radio (SDR), the HCR's unique architecture facilitates technology insertions while allowing for interoperability with legacy platforms, including the Ultra AN/GRC-245 and AN/GRC-512 radios.
