Emap, the publisher of titles including Retail Week and Drapers, is to move to new offices at London's Silicon Roundabout as its parent company Top Right splits operations into three separate businesses.

In March the Mornington Crescent-based company officially rebranded as Top Right Group and announced that its businesses would be split into three operating units.

The company's magazine division, which includes titles such as Broadcast and Nursing Times, retained the historic Emap brand name.

Emap's move to Telephone House, which is based on Paul Street in the heart of the east London area known as "Silicon Roundabout", by the end of the year.

The building, which Top Right describes as "recently refurbished, light and energy efficient", is also home to the fashion retailer Coast and telecommunications business Epsilon.

Top Right also announced that the 4C division, home to information businesses such as WGSN and Planet Retail, will move to a new office building at the southern end of Regent Street called AirW1. Other tenants, including telco company O2 Digital and 4C, will move in October.

The company is down to a shortlist of three locations for the third operating unit, i2i, the events division which includes Cannes Lions and World Retail Congress, with a decision expected in August.

Top Right said that the decision to move the businesses to separate locations, part of a three to four-year plan that will eventually result in the sale of the businesses, would allow each unit to "have the space to develop their unique potential".

"New buildings will enable 4C Group, Emap and i2i Events, to further develop their individual business identities, working practices and cultures," said the Top Right chief executive, Duncan Painter. "We see these moves as important developments for Top Right Group and our standalone operating companies and are integral to our growth agenda."
