Product Description
This is a very simple plug n play solar generator. It comes with a brand new duracell powerpack 600 and a brand new solar panel that simple plugs into the batterypack. This makes it easy to use anywhere for anything. The solar panel has 9ft of wire so you can put the panel in the sun and the battery were you need it. Works great for remote areas without grid power, emergencies, or camping. This kit does not need a seperate charge controller because the battery automatically turns to trickle charge when the batteries are full. No orders to Alaska or Hawaii.

I bought this plug and play generator for emergency. It arrived in two seperate orders. No problem because the dealer e-mailed me to let me know before hand. It charges up well in the sun. About the same amount of time it took charging on ac current plugged in. I thought I would be able to charge other battery operated items such as rechargabe flashlight, tools ect?But you can?t. It clearly states in the instruction manual that there are alot of things(battery operated) that you can?t charge with this generator. And you can?t leave it out in the rain. Again it clearly states that in the instruction manual.

Whats it good for? Lights. It will run several plug in house lamps for close to 40 hours. I know I tried it out. You can plug in your lap top but it will drain the power (recharging the lap top) in about 7hours.It?s good to keep the lights on.

I will purchase a bigger unit come this fall to run a coffee maker small t.v ect?
I would say its good to have even if you can only use it for your lights. Beats using candles.

I bought this unit along with a larger one from this seller about 2 months ago. While I bought the larger unit through Amazon this unit I bought from the seller?s website because I called him and asked him to build me a unique version of this product. Instead of the rigid solar panels that comes with this unit, I wanted a flexible solar panel so the whole thing would be more portable. The seller went out of his way to buy the flexible solar panel that I specified and convert it over to work this unit. As I?ve said, I?ve been using it for 2 month and IT WORKS GREAT! I love it and I love the larger unit I bought from him too (I recommend checking out his other products). I agree with the last reviewer ? THE FUTURE IS GREEN. And now, for me at least, it is powered by the sun ;-)

I purchased this solar generator primarily to have in my car as a ?back-up? for a battery boost, plus a ?back-up? to charge my cell phone and laptop in case of electrical power failure , and also, to use with a small electric fan to use in my car whenever my dog is feeling a little warm and the additional ?fan-breeze? is a welcome addition. I love this product, and will look to ?upgrading? to higher power availability with future purchases. This generator works GREAT. You can use a standard household AC outlet to charge up the unit, however, the solar panel charge feature works rather quickly, enough to give you power reasonable fast. The FUTURE IS SOLAR, let?s get GREEN.
